Hybrid Heat (Dual Fuel)
The term dual-fuel implies using two different fuel sources to heat and cool your house. In our local market, dual-fuel usually consists of paring a heat pump with a gas furnace. The heat pump will heat and cool your house from approximately 40° and higher and the gas furnace will operate alone from 39° and below. This saves quite a bit of money on your gas utility bills.
The higher the efficiency rating is on your equipment, the more you will save on utility costs. If you currently have gas run to your house and have a straight air conditioning system, it is well worth your time to look into a dual-fuel system when it becomes necessary to replace your system.
